Subaru of Georgetown Gives Back to Local Classrooms

Millions of students in high-needs schools across the country lack the supplies and learning materials they need to be successful in the classroom. Many teachers also spend their own money to make sure their students have access to the resources they need throughout the school year.

This year, Subaru of Georgetown was proud to participate in the Subaru Loves Learning® initiative by supporting students and teachers at Annie Purl Elementary School. Through the Subaru Loves Learning partnership between Subaru and AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru of Georgetown adopted 15 classrooms with a $7,500 donation to help provide teachers with the supplies and learning materials their students need to thrive.

When our team visited Annie Purl Elementary for the donation drop-off, we wanted to show our appreciation for the educators behind those classrooms, too. To make the day a little more special, Subaru of Georgetown surprised the teachers and staff with lunch catered by Blue Corn Harvest. It was a simple way to thank them for the time, energy, and care they pour into their students every day.

By supporting 15 classrooms and treating the school’s educators to a well-deserved lunch, Subaru of Georgetown was able to extend our impact beyond classroom supplies alone. We are proud to support Annie Purl Elementary and the teachers who work each day to help local students learn, grow, and succeed.
